The church is from mid 1800 and its mosaics are not mosaics but just a skillfull painting useing in a marvellous way the trick of the perpspective!!! Here you find a pending silver lamp gift of Czar Paul II who in 1772 visited our town and the Serbian community.

Like many orthodox churches this is an ethereal jewel box with amazing gilded iconostasis. This literally glows in the surrounding Byzantine gloom. I find these places very atmospheric and when we were there prayers were being said which added to the quiet deeply evocative sense of mystery. It’s a nice church well worth a visit

This is the first Serbian Ortodox church I've seen in Italy and it is definitely a place to visit when in Trieste. It has all the typical Eastern Ortodox features, the icons, the central altar, the painted ceilings and it is really rare to see this in these parts of the world.

This lovely church was simply beautiful, elegant and complete with a sense of tranquility. My family and I had a short stop off in Trieste whilst on a cruiser and we all enjoyed the visit to this excellent church.

Quite possibly the most beautiful church I’ve ever seen. It was very special - catholic, yet in a different way than the many Greek and Roman churches I have seen.

It is a beautiful church with many beautiful details inside and in the facade. We visited early when there were no other tourists, I think this also contributed to the experience. It was silent and spiritual.

Nice church with a beautiful architecture. Near the center of Trieste so you can pass by and take a vist. Free entrance

I really don’t recommend this church. Simply due to the staff, they are disrespectful and impolite. I was wearing a normal T-shirt and shorts and was told to leave the church and asked if I wasn’t scared of god?

This church has a beautiful exterior, and it's Orthodox to the core. I'm devoid of religion, but the architecture of an orthodox church stands out. I like it.

The mosaics outside, the spiritual atmosphere inside were moving. How fascinating to find three imposing churches of three different branches of the Chritian Church - RC, Serbo Othodox and Greek Orthodox all in the Grande Canale area! All thanks to Maria Theresa and her liberal attitude to those who wanted to live in Trieste.
