It's a wonderful place and I went there with my 3 year old daughter because there is an equipped playground, but I'd better say there was! All the play areas have been fenced off, and it has been a long time since all the fences have been torn down. All abandoned, impassable, a real disaster

Not really a beach, even if we call it so! It is simply a street, attached to the sea where in the summer you cannot walk on it for 2 reasons: first, the ground reaches temperature taht you cannot imagine; secondly, because if you find a place where to put your towel.... you are really lucky!

Difficult parking on weekends but somehow always manage to get a spot.....Beautiful view of the city, convenient kiosks with snacks and drinks....and every few meters the historical half circle changing coves with free showers and wc....The water is usually quite clean, especially for being so close to a major town. I suppose because the shipping business ain't what it used to be....The harbor is pretty quiet.

Barcola is a strip of cement where the locals like to sunbathe with a big book in their hands. It's a very proletariat type of beach and gives you a sense of the locals. Nice.

One of the group took a windsurf lesson from one of the teachers at Surf Trieste Team. He was most impressed by the style and attitude of the teacher. He also had a couple of sessions on his own and thoroughly enjoyed the experienc.

Yes, this is the place most Triestino's go to swim and no, there's no sand! But a stroll along the Barcola "strand" is a must for any visitor to Trieste.

Very weird to have a beach right by the main road but we did like the locals. take the 6 or 36 bus to Barcola- a tip- take right to Miramare then you get a slightly quieter bit of beach and coming back you get a seat on the bus !! The sea was warm and clean, we went nearly every day even just for a couple of hours !

After travelling through Croatia, we’ve come to expect ‘beaches’ on the rocks, and this beach definitely delivered. The water was warm, the access to the water was easy and if you want shade or a beverge, both are available.

We walked the way back from Miramare to Trieste - it takes a good two hours, but on a Sunday the promenade is buzzing with life, places for coffee or aperol spritz and small restaurants to eat smaller or larger dishes. If the walk gets too long the bus number 6 runs regularly from here back to the station.

Hallo.
