This is an absolute awesome place to visit, while in Ravenna. No words beyond "wow!". The place is quite small, but packed with beautiful mosaics.

Wow! Prepare to be awed at the beauty of this site. The mosaics are breathtaking. It is worth listening to the recording as you walk in, if you are not with a tour group, so you know what you are looking at.

The mosaics in the mausoleum are so beautiful. They are breathtaking. It will make you want to go home an mosaic a wall, ceiling,or floor. It is some of the most beautiful art work in praise of God I have ever seen.

This small building is usually cramed with viewers, but if you stay longer than the common three minutes, you can have the place to yourself for a few seconds now and again. Also, stand off center and you won't be bumped by selfy sticks and...More

I visited as part of a tour organized by the Mosaic School and our guide was the daughter of our instructor. She is an art historian so we were the lucky recipients of her knowledge and passion. Beyond this we had the place to ourselves...More
