As others have said when you walk through the door you get a quite mindblowing surprise. The decoration is wonderful. Actually wonderful doesn't do the paintings justice. Drop a Euro into the box and light things up. Very peaceful place. Don't miss this!

Visited in the morning. Quiet, few other visitors, an ideal time to view the beautiful art in the cathedral and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Worth spending a couple of euros on lighting to see some of the details in the frescoes. Loved the ancient lions keeping watch outside.

Parma'da kaldığım süre içerisinde gezdiğim yerlerin en görkemlisiydi. Ziyaret etmelisiniz. Mistik bir ortam var. Özellikle alt katta bulunan İsa heykeli çok etkileyici. It was the most magnificent place I've ever seen while i was in Parma. You must visit if you like this kind of places.. There is a mystical environment. Especially the bottom sculpture of Jesus is very impressive.

second time we have visited this cathedral and it is still such a wonderful place to visit - doesn't look too much from the outside but the inside is painted in fresco's every where - if you only see one thing, make sure it's this

I have been in many old churches. It's almost a required tick in the box when you sightsee an old city or town. So I was expecting the same old same old when I entered this one. Who would of thought a town like Parma would have such an exquisite church. The ceilings were mind blowing!!! Such beautiful art. Truely... More

Its a nice cathedral that is tucked away from the main street. The art work on the walls is really good and the side chapels are nicely done.

I've been to a fair few Italian churches & Cathedrals so I wasn't too bothered about seeing another one, but this one is worth it. The 3D style painted walls & ceilings are very impressive, as is the Ascension painting. Entry is free with donations appreciated so if you don't like it you won't have wasted anything.

There is so much to see and enjoy in the Cathedral. I entered through the Holy Door and visited all the shrines and took my time looking at the richly decorated nave and vaulted ceiling.

Beautiful cathedral with impressive frescoes. Do not miss the last supper middle age sculpture in the right transept.
