I've always loved arriving in Bologna by train. The architecture and the organisation are decent enough. I get a buzz coming out of the exit into the hustle & bustle of an important city. Right outside there are buses to connect to other parts of...More

When buying a ticket at the machines, beware of pregnant women eager to help you navigate the machine. They expect to be compensated. Just an FYI.

Located a bit away from the center of town. Facility is OK, but not great. Area seems reasonably safe, though I would be concerned after sunset. We walked frrom here to town center. On a hot day or at night a cab is in order

The Italians have done nothing about the gypsy con artists. If someone tries to help you, tell them NO - they will try & get money off you once the help you. We were conned & then when waiting for a train saw a Japanese...More

Very good location 1min from many hotels with various shops and even a spar. Pity they were working on it and the escalators were out of order and we had to go up the stairs with the bags

I found that the gypsies at this train station were more helpful than the train station staff. They assisted me with reading my ticket, finding which platform I needed and what direction I was travelling in & helped me with my bags. Perhaps they are...More

We used this station often for our day travels and inter-city connections. The presence of the police and staff is good. Keeps the riff-raffs away, mostly. There are a few beggers and hustlers. As always beware of your surroundings and be vigil.
