Prendiparte Tower is one of the noble towers of Bologna that remains standing around the city centre. It dates back to the Middle Ages being constructed in the 12th-century and is 60 metres tall making it just a metre shorter than neighbour Altabella Tower as well as Asinelli Tower (97 metres).

You can see the Prendiparte Tower along Piazzetta Prendiparte while exploring around Bologna. There are a couple of other towers nearby that can be viewed as well if you enjoy this sort of sightseeing. Like Asinelli, Prendiparte is open for visitation at certain times, including the terrace at the top of the tower from which 360 views of the city can be found.

Wonderful view when you are at the top.
There are many wooden stairs to climb and I saw some chaps in difficulty.
Definitely worth a visit.

A nice tower and better in my opinion than the Asinelli tower even if it’s not quite as high. You see some rooms as they were in the past which makes the ascent more interesting, and the views on the top terrace are spectacular. Definitely better value than the Torre Degli Asinelli.

This is a lovely looking old traditional tower built from thousands of small bricks. It's set in a very small square and is only open at certain times so check before visiting. It has two windows to it's facade, one with a juliet style balcony along with a wooden door. The tower boasts 360 degree views of the city from it's peak

It absoultely takes your breath away! After a seemingly endless climb, you will get the best view on the city. We visited this site on a tour, and I must say it was one of the highlights for us!

This is one of the few towers that remains in Bologna. Right now you can only access la Torre degli Assinelli.

It takes your breath away in both senses! After a seemingly endless climb, you will get the best view on the city. The reservation can be made online, the staff is very friendly and the cost is really minimal.

Torre Prendiparte is a wonderful example of the remaining towers in Bologna. Part high-end bed and breakfast (you have the run of the tower itself as the family did when first built) and part tourist attraction (a good, long climb to the top with a very nice view), it is a wonderful example of architecture and preservation. Tucked away near/in the Quadrilatero, it is worth the trip.

Not so exciting and special view.
Just see the the city from high altitude. Tickets will be purchased from the office near the tower not exactly at tower.

The best way to see Bologna! It is above all of the traffic, noise and confusion of the city center.
