We booked this tour to experience some the 'food headliners' that make Bologna 'Italy's Kitchen'. The tour was a roaring success and one that I recommend to all! We spoke with Barbara from Italian days in the run up to the tour and she helped confirm our pick up address and also that my wife was coeliac. She was excellent... More

This must rank as one of the best days out ever. We were picked up by our helpful and genial driver from our hotel at seven in the morning and after picking up another two couples set off into the Emilia-Romagna countryside to meet our guide for the day, Eleonora Lolli. At our first stop, a Parmesan cheesery, we saw... More

Just perfect from start to finish. I booked very last minute, which was all taken care of through prompt, informative and cheery emails (including advice on light breakfasting and stretchy waistbands). Then you get driven around with a group of very lovely people through beautiful countryside (thank you Marco! Migliore!) while being constantly plied with wonderful food and wine. What... More

The tour was not cheap but it was definitely money well spent, considering it also includes breakfast, lunch ( that lunch was so big and filling and delicious we did not have dinner) and lots and lots of wine. My husband and I had blast on this tour. We were picked up promptly from our air bnb at 6:50am by... More

We just finished one of the best tours we've ever taken - a food tour of Bologna featuring factory tours and tasting visits to a Parmesan Reggiano factory, a balsamic vinegar vineyard, and a prosciutto factory. Although all were excellent the highlight was our 6 course lunch at Corte Di Aibo, a vineyard, winery, restaurant and country lodge. The tour... More

So I met Alessandro at the NY Travel show last November; his booth was very popular and he's a "big" personality - when I mentioned my family would be in Bologna in May, he insisted that we try out his Food Experience tour. There was very detailed info preceding the tour by email and all questions were answered, and accommodations... More

We did the tour of the parmigiana-reggiano cheese making facility, balsamic facility and the prosciutto facility, and it was one of our most memorable days on our Italy trip. We started the day with a tour of the parmigiana place, where we enjoyed fresh parmigiana, wine, pastries, and wine. Then off too remarkable history and tasting of "real" balsamic, and... More

What a day !! Picked up from hotel in lovely minibus with knowledgeable driver ( Marco). First visit to see Parmesan made is terrific - seeing the process stages throughout the morning - followed by a cracking breakfast ! Next 2 visits to balsamic vinegar production and prosciutto ham are equally interesting with the chance to buy / sample real... More
