The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
How to get there
  • Lepanto • 6 min walk
  • Ottaviano - San Pietro - Musei Vaticani • 8 min walk

plenty of shops , Restaurants closer . near Vatican , you better go by taxi if you are in the heart of Rome to avoid walking.

Beautiful promenade in the equally beautiful and upscale Prati area, where I always stay in Rome. Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and gorgeous buildings on both sides look almost “Parisian”.

All kinds of shops, within walking distance. Its a nice street, where the locals stroll to make a "bella figura"

A main street in the Prati area, lined with trees, with loads of shops, a pleasant place for a walk and window-shopping.

I loved this street which was my daily commute to walk through it. It has all needs and all the stores for daily quick requirements.

Short street near the Vatican walls. Small shops and a few restaurants would keep you busy for a couple of hours. Worth it..

This road is full of shops. One can find good quality clothes and shoes, prices vary according to brand name. A very good selection.

This hotel could not be better located, literally only 10 mins from the Vatican. A little more of a walk to other sites such as Colosseum, etc.
breakfast was adequate and enough to store you up for the day, probably could do with a couple more hot choices, but otherwise ok.
The staff were excellent, not sure how many are there but we only ever saw three, but saw Vulvia in particular on the reception desk many times, whom i would describe absolutely as the face of cola De Rienzo, she is wonderful, informative, funny. She got our little break started with good places to go and how to get there via, feet , bus or metro. gave us lots of tips on avoiding pick pockets. There was not anywhere that she didn't seem to know, including the best times and prices when to come back. If i had a little niggle it was possibly that we had no view from our room, there was such a large shelf below our window we couldn't even see the road, plus the window was quite high making it impossible to see anything really and we could have done with more than one USB point. But that said the room was always clean and fresh, and the shower has to be the best shower we have ever used, It had water coming from every direction.
Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay again.
But a big thanks to Vulvia who made it for us
