We went to a little park where there was a little building which covered the entrance to the Columbarium of Pomponius Hylas. This highly coloured and rare communal tomb was only open to private groups arranged in advance with the Department of Antiquities. Tickets for this can be purchased at the museo delle mura and are only available on a guided tour. It is totally worth the wait and money. The Tomb is in remarkable condition with many frescos and urns still intact as they were so many centuries ago! Just be careful the stairs are very steep! Flash photography isn't allowed so... More
