Maybe not one of Rome’s top churches (from a sightseeing perspective), yet worth every moment to visit. It is also known as Rome’s Lourdes and has some of Borromini’s works. The place is a place of peace amidst the bustle of shops and tourists and...More

This is a must see a stone's throw from the Spanish Steps. It is designed by Borromini and includes two of the original Bernini angels from the Ponte Sant'Angelo

This minor Basilica is located just a short distance from Piazza di Spagna. It is filled with many frescos, icons and statuary. Also reported that the Virgin Mary appeared here in 1842. Well worth stopping here for the history and art alone.

Local place of worship, striking art and very spiritual. We loved the contrasts of the art on the walls and the sculptures on the sides. This story of the appearance of the Virgin Mary was cool. Very friendly too.

The church is two-toned on the front---yellowish brick below and pinkish brick above (colour-co-ordinated!). It's not big inside, but has some of the most striking collection of sculptures I've seen in a Roman church. Some are memorial ones, like a large wall plaque for the...More

Rome is full of surprises and this beautiful Baroque church is a fine example. On our way from the Spanish Steps to the Trevi Fountain, my mother suddenly needed to use the restroom. In haste, I went into this church without knowing where this was...More

This is church is not over-decorated, so those who don't enjoy baroque art would find a peace for their eyes here. :) It is tasteful, modest, yet beautiful.

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos,
goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross
paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the
very centre of the city. Even though it has some of
the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle
Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque
parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty
face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural
