I loved this place, as I love all cold cuts and this had so many to sample and buy. Very friendly and patient staff. You'll need to work out the cost per kg and allow for this. I loved the pork jerky, and the bag of pork crackling rinds was amazing. Just get some fresh bread, sit in the sun and enjoy. I saw a group doing the tour and that looked good too.

We visited Norcineria Viola late November 2019. The staff allowed us to sample as many of their vast meats and cheeses as we wished. Each was delicious and fresh and we were given in depth information about each bite. We ordered a wide variety of meats and cheese and had them shipped to us in the states. We received them in less than a week. Everything was in perfect condition and just as tasty as what we sampled at the Campo. We look forward to ordering again and will definitely visit again on our next trip to Rome. Complimenti Norcineria Grazie!

Stumbled upon this shop while visiting the market. Really friendly, helpful and genuine staff. Try before you buy as I don't normally eat salami but can recommend the pig's liver and the red wine salami. You can get your purchases vacume packed while you pay. It's like an Aladins cave of salami inside - fantastic. Will definately be ordering some supplies online for Christmas! Postage is £25.00 per order for however much you require.

This place is amazing for anyone who loves cured meats of all types. They will generously provide samples and will also point you to the local bread baker to obtain warm bread with which to enjoy their delicacies. They provide the beer and the norcineria, you won't be disappointed!

If you are visiting Campo dei Fiori in Rome (as you should), do not miss this historical shop. I have been there several times and was never disappointed. Quality is top for everything I tasted, but the most attractive feature is finding traditional cold cuts that are almost impossible to buy elsewhere. So, my suggestion is to try new items rather than sticking to those you already know, like prosciutto or standard salami. Examples: the dark sausages made with pork liver that are a masterpiece in Roman cuisine (to be spread as they are on bread, absolutely no cooking); the soft "ciavuscolo" salami, also to be spread with no cooking, a gift of the Marche cuisine and of other regions; the "coppa", local name for a cold cut made with mixed pork meats and salted jelly. They can seal what you buy under vacuum for transportation. Or you can buy bread from a nearby store and prepare sandwiches that will be infinitely better of the junk food of the tourist-trap "pasta and pizza" places.
