This is one of Bernini's most famous works, and is located in Piazza Navona. The four river-gods (the Danube, the Nile, the Ganges, and the Rio de la Plata) depicted in the structure are original and different in expression from one another. The fountain looks...More

This is where we began our Rome experience at night. Very interesting to see the families, vendors, cafes, and tricksters. Enjoy but watch your wallets and watches.

The Fountain of the Four Rivers is in the center of the Piazza Navona. It has four statues that represent the four corners of the world with a Roman-Egyptian oblique in the center.

Piazza used to be a Circus, you can see a small excavated part at the non-curved end. La Fontana is spectacular. Whole place must have been a sight when they used to flood the piazza and hold naval battles.

The central fountain in Piazza Navona is something to see in and of itself. Consider it the piece of art on the coffee table in the living room of the Piazza. You can study it for many hours or just bask in it's beauty.

The fountains of Rome are all worth the time to visit. Beautiful in design and must be visited to understand the remarkable scale.

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood
museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the
streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
