One of Rome's beautiful fountains!

The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi is a beautiful fountain situation pretty much in the middle of Piazza Navona. I find it to be a beautiful sight!

This sculpture is also known as the "Fountain of The four Rivers'' designed by the famous artist Bernini. Amazing & artistic sculpture, with life like statues,so very beautiful. Full of history, even if one is not interested in the historic aspect just seeing this amazing sculpture is worth while. Well worth a visit.

This fountain by Bernini is facinating for millions of people every year who stream by it daily to marvel. Always crowded and in the middle of Piazza Navona, it is a must see in Rome.

You'll see this fountain when you visit the Piazza Navona, very beautiful when lit up at night. Gets a bit busy but worth a look. Beautiful stone work and detail amazing as it's so old.

Always lots of crowds around this fountain, which can make it difficult for a decent photo but the fountain deserves the attention, as it is another Bernini masterpiece. Pope Innocent X, (Pamphilj Family) wanted a monumental fountain in the piazza, Fontana dei Fiumi/Fountain of Rivers was the result, to finance the project an unpopular tax was imposed on bread, meat... My favorite fountain in Rome is the Fontana Trevi (cliché as it may be), BUT the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi can still hold it's own. The artwork is beautiful and it is surrounded by beautiful architecture. I prefer it in the daytime, or perhaps at twilight hour when the sun is shining on it just perfectly.

You can stand and look at this fountain literally for hours as there is so much detail in the statues. Well worth taking a photo of.
