A small neighborhood market, covered, therefore excellent for a stop even in case of rain. There you can find excellent smoothies of fresh fruit, dried fruit, sandwiches and savory pies. And inside the market you can sit at the tables and eat. It is very central and affordable.

This is a good value market with range oif stalls including an excellent delicatessen where you can have a bread roll made up to your requirements and buy a small bottle of wine for a very reasonable cost. Fruit, veg, groceries and toiletries are amongst stalls available.

a small local open market with roof (good also in the rain). in the heart of the historic district of Monti, the first dwelling of Rome. Various stands offering: meat, fresh pasta, seafood, drugstore, nuts and dried berries, organic cosmetics etc.... Especially good: the smoothies freshly prepared on demand by the fruit seller; they come in three sizes, and she can suggest combinations depending on the season. My preferred one is pear, fresh ginger, kiwi. Also very good quality the small organic cosmetic stand. I work nearby, it is good to have it again!

Small, inconspicuous market hall for fruit, meat, etc....and a stand for fresh pasta with a small kitchen attached. They prepare some pasta/gnocchi every day (classic carbonara/matricciana, etc.). Really tasty and no fuss or frills.
That's how I like it. Absolutely recommended for a little lunch break. Insider tip! Hopefully it stays that way.
