Our driver was on time and very nice. We had a relaxing drive to the hotel and then back to the airport. Highly recommended!

We were in Italy 8 days and used Welcome Pickups three times. We were greeted with friendly drivers who were very conversational and were sort of like a personal tour guide, pointing out interesting places along the way.

Recommend this service for peace of mind

Have used Welcome pickups for a couple trips so far but Massimo has been the most accommodating. He didn't complain when we had more bags than I anticipated and suggested ways we could save time at the Roma Termini. We have him again on our way to the airport and am so glad!

Welcome pickups has been so easy to use with a simple app and has provided peace of mind knowing I'll get to my location on time. Quick note for those new to the service, your driver will call when they are close so make sure you put in the correct mobile number. I forgot when I booked it that I entered my Australian mobile number into the booking but was using my Italian sim, so I missed the call. He ended up emailing me as well. I realised afterwards that I have an option of updating my phone number on my profile.

Transfer from FCO to Rome hotel.

Driver Massimiliano Rossi arrived ahead of schedule. We found him easily. Had a nice smooth drive from the airport to our hotel in Rome.

Recommended highly.

They Cancelled 1 hour before

This company is not reliable. They confirmed our driver and then cancelled 1 hour before they were supposed to pick us up. Their only apology was 15 euro off the next booking. They essentially no-showed as it was too late to book an alternative driver. I will never use this service again.

Simple, fuss free and relaxing trips

Used welcome pick ups from airport to hotel and return journey a few days later. It all went really smoothly with easy signage, clean & comfortable cars. Both drivers were friendly, polite and informative. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again

Left Stranded At Last Minute By “Welcome Pickups”

I found Welcome Pickups through a travel agent when planning a dream trip with family to Italy, including a day at the 2023 Ryder Cup. Round trip transportation to the golfing event was scheduled and “confirmed” days in advance. On the day of the event, they drove my family members to the golfing event but then canceled the return trip on that very day (only after having seen the traffic headed back into Rome). They left my family stranded 45 minutes outside of Rome which then negatively effected a scheduled and prepaid private tour of the Vatican City (nearly $500). I have no doubt the scheduled and confirmed driver simply did not want to deal with the admittedly very dense traffic that day. They claim their “cancellation policy” allows for such as long as it is not within 2 hours of the pickup time. They refused me a refund for the prepaid fee of $90 (one way) but offered me a “worthless” coupon for future services…. Which I will never use again and caution you against as well. This company has no honor or accountability in my opinion.
