About
The exhibition is one of its kind in the world, with a collection of 50 previously unseen machines, which are finally allowed to touch and try and certified reproductions of the 23 most famous paintings of the Tuscan Genius. From The Last Supper to Mona Lisa, the recognised masterpieces have been reproduced full scale according to the typical procedures of the Renaissance workshops and using the same materials (of 500 years ago!) Leonardo used. The visit includes an Audio guide too.

The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.

Great museum. Time flies in there. Spent nearly 3 hours looking at his inventions and paintings. They have a nice shop if you want to buy some souvenirs too. ( I didn’t buy anything) Brilliant

However, the paintings are just copies , they nicely show the progression of DaVinci as an artist. The best part of the museum are the models of his inventions. Amazing ideas for his times.

We did not attend the experience because of confusion with the booking on Trip Advisor. We mistakenly thought that we had booked the museum and when we arrived there we learned that there is also the “ experience “. Trip Advisor should make it clear that there are 2 different exhibits

Easy to find location close to Vatican City in highly touristy area. Exhibit was well thought out and we'll laid out walking you through da Vinci's scientific models and inventions first, then his artworks. Each piece had a description and some history. I liked how they compared some of his art to other pieces he made. **Please note that all items are replicas not real. Audio pens were loud enough to hear in a crowd, but one of the two we were given the battery died on us. Not a big issue we shared the other and it was perfectly fine!

A fabulous self-paced, educational experience for adults, families, and children! My sister and I learned so much and it was so interesting! Who knew Leonardo da Vinci was an artist and an inventor of so many things? Enjoy!

Cool spot, kids really enjoyed it, especially after a whole day of walking around Vatican. Super friendly staff and reasonably priced. Audioguide is very handy as you can go through the museum at your own pace.

Though this isn’t the biggest attraction in Rome, this was a cool spot to learn more about Leonardo Da Vinci! The audio guide was great. Interactive too!

Really interesting place. We spent 1 hour there learning how things were thought by da Vinci.
All the inventions are in wood and you can see how they work.
Was worth the tickets.
