We were looking for a place to stay after exploring Puglia and prior to going to Rome, when I found Gaeta in an architectural magazine's review. It's a really pretty town on a peninsula, with a beach on one side and the harbour on the...More

Gaeta was recommended to me by a native Italian. I’m so glad we went. Beautiful town warm people and beautiful sightseeing. Must see Montagna Spaccatta and walk along the water. The beach was beautiful. Loved it here

Fab chilled town, historical places to check out, a clean fully serviced beach, great restaurants without the inflated prices of the Amalfi coast. Highly recommend.

Love Gaeta truly Italian an opportunity to fit in to their culture not them fit into yours. Love it,the beach, the heat, independence that gives a real sense of Italian life.

Parking here is difficult as you can only access the port road during the day due to preservation restrictions. We found a space on the road for €8. We loved exploring the town, climbing the steps to the castle fort that is still in use....More

Gaeta is my hometown so I'm biased, but the more I travel and live abroad, the more I come to appreciate it. Seven different beaches (rocks, pebbles, and fine sand), a touristic port, and a selection of artistic and natural attractions make it definitely worth...More

Panoramas, food, people - all good reasons to come back again. And the weather is lovely almost all year round with exception for a couple of months in winter.

Gaeta is a charming harbour town with lots to offer. Great sights, restaurants and especially right now the Christmas lights. Very worth a nighttime visit.

You can try to eat at restaurant " La Salute " , near the harbour of Gaeta. They have good and fresh fish products and it's not expensive. It's be better a reservation because in the summer is ever full.

You can also hire a car service. The driver we took back to the train station when we left regularly drives back and forth to the Rome airport to bring people to Gaeta. Just a thought.
