The hike up the hill is well worth it, fascinating history to this "hill" and the life and times it has experienced. Yes, I "snuck" into the prison Director's house through a hole in the gate, and walked up onto the roof of the house, and all around the dwelling. Well worth your time for a visit!

Not too hard a walk up the hill to get a great view of Procida, especially of the Port of Corricella.

Nice old buildings and houses. The "contrast" lies on the fact that some of them, autentic jewels which would have been the main centre of touristic attraction of whole regions in other Countries, lie half abandoned and needing maintenance. The place is great (with amazing views over the sea and the coast in front of the island) but it would... More

A nice, steep walk leads you to the highest point on the Island that holds it's own little town complete with a bar and bed & breakfast. Several great viewpoints in different directions gives you a picturesque and astonishing view of the entire island as well as the ocean and the surrounding isles. The view is the main attraction, but... More

Spent a nice couple of hours pottering about the old walled town, best seen in the morning when a climb up the steep hill isn't so taxing. Unless you are a particular fan of Il Postino or the novel Graziella (in which case the Graziella museum is essential), there isn't a great deal to see as most of it is... More

Terra Murata is a place of great beauty built on the highest point of the island Procida. It was initially the fortified upper city from the middle ages. Nowadays it is amazing historic centre above the port, with breathing views on Coricella and the Gulf of Naples, across to Capri and along the coast to Sorrento. Terra Murata can be... More

Salvatore was a delightful host to this fancy B&B with spectacular views. I most excellent way to explore Procida. Yes, the hill that the entrance to the B&B is located is quite steep- it is an awesome workout and within walking distance to spectacular points of interest. A good nights rest and wonderful breakfast was had by all!

This place was definitely worth a visit. Catch one of the frequent buses though as the hill is very steep. Once there enjoy the history and dramatic views from the top.
