The temple of Apollo is the place the townspeople of ancient Pompeii gathered and worshipped together. Today you can still view the temple.

Left of the central Roman Forum and Temple of Jupiter, you cannot miss this one. Easy recognizable by its size and white Ionic columns, it's a reminder of Greek culture.

What a great way to begin the Pompeii adventure. Hopefully with a guide to point out the highlights. Apollo was so important and still grand. Enjoy!

You enter this temple from the side door at first you do not realise it is a temple but then the vista opens out into a large courtyard. I visited when the sun was just going down behind the columns...
