A. Is it to Pompeii is a long hot day of walking the ancient streets and visiting the restored homes and buildings. It was one of the highlights of our vacation.

On the northern side of the central Forum area stands this elevated Temple, dedicated to father of all Gods. This elevated position signifies it's importance being the main one in Pompeii. Perfect photo op with Vesuvius in the background.

The flow of the tour was great. Every area and nook explained. Loved this tour. FYI it's not just more ruins.

We had a great day to visit Pompeii so it made for great viewing and a great day to be there. Just one of those things you have to visit to understand it

The Temple of Jupiter, built in the 2nd century BC, is dedicated to the highest divinity of ancient times. The temple 'closed off' the fourth side of the square where there were no colonnades.
