Reproduction of the vineyards that no doubt existed in Pompeii and brings a dash of green to many of the ash coloured surroundings. Great to see how the vineyards were integrated into the town and helps to make it feel alive rather than rather than...More

Amazing to find this flourishing in the hot temperatures that we had and especially that there is no irrigation they rely on the moisture from the night

A large house in Pompeii but the memorable part is that it has a vineyard. I would like to think that this has been re-created because there was originally a vineyard here. Some nice paintings are on the walls and a lovely courtyard to explore...More

Pompeii of course had vineyards. And here you see a reproduction of the vines (apparently the same vinifera as the ancient vines) that could have been seen 2000 years ago. Adjacent to the Villa dei Misteri after the walk along the road to the vilas,...More

Cassa della Nave Europa is a place not to miss in Pompeii because of its beautiful courtyard and because of the Villa dei Misteri wine, which is grown the same like 2000 years ago there. The name comes from a grafitti on the wall which...More

Since you are in Pompei and it is accessible I would recommend it. From a scientific view the garden is the most exciting. Many roots and seeds of trees and plants have been found here so one can try to imagine the garden with its...More

This small area is well preserved and is named after a picture on one of the walls. There is a vineyard growing here, an exact reproduction of what was here in 79AD. The wine produced is called Villa Del Misteri. A nice place to walk...More

Walking through the vestibulum (entry) the yellows and reds of the frescoed walls are vibrant, and there are small details remaining of decorative reliefs...the etching of Europa is a curious thing as well.
