A visit to Pompeii is an incredible moving experience. A community frozen in time through the tragedy of a catastrophic volcanic eruption. You learned about this place in grade school! Don't travel to Italy without seeing this!

Yes there are but they are scarce. The only one in the middle of the site is by the forum. You will get a map of Pompeii when you get your ticket. See my review for my comments on facilities.
