The museum is definitely worth a visit, with artefacts coming from pompei, the ancient greeks, romans and egyptians. You can easily spend 2+ hours walking around. Very easy to find with the closest metro stop (Museo) directly behind the museum building.

After our trips to Ercolano & Pompeii the last stop to join the pieces together was the museum.
Inevitably with time and mass tourism, UNESCO have had to preserve the many outstanding pieces of work from the aforementioned sites hence the birth of the museum.
Apart from we went on a Monday morning when it was groups of school kids crazy, there were moments of utopia and chances to enjoy the spaces on your own.
