So much begins in Naples , including the idea of an institution where children are trained in music. This city trained boys, Venice for girls. Located on the site of an old monastery, it contains one of Italy’s most formidable libraries of of original manuscripts by Verdi, Bellini, Rossini, Cimarosa and Piccinni . The monastic cells of the Celestine Benedictines ring with music as we walked up the Decumano Maggiore that is today known as Via San Pietro a Majella. There was a recital that we walked politely into and were hidden to partake. Delightful playing.

I attended a beautiful Classical Music concert in this historic Music School.
Mostly locals.
People were really friendly & it was not expensive.
The hall was modern & a bit like a school hall.
I really enjoyed myself.
Had a chat with Conductor & Principal violinist afterwards- they were grateful for the support.
