5 Euros to enter - which is basically for the views. Amazing photo opportunity of the Bay of Naples. Not much else around there.

Nice to see and also good for a chillout away from the hustle and bustle of Naples. There could be more to see inside but like other Italian museums where the artefacts are minimal.

It would be best to go on a day with good weather. The view up here is terrific. Great for photos. There was an elevator to get to the top to walk around but like all of Naples, it may be hard to get around...More

This castle is in Vomero area, the nicest and probably richest neighborhoods in the city of Naples. We can easily access by Funicular (a few stations) from via Toledo, then walk about 10-15 minutes to the castle. The views of Naples city including port and...More

We accessed the Castel Sant'Elmo via the funicular. It is located in one of the nicest areas (and cleanest) of the city and on top of the castle the view is absolutely breathtaking. You can walk alongside the edge all the way and practically can...More

It takes effort to get to this attraction, but it is worth the effort. The castle offers panoramic views of Naples Bay. It really gives perspective in terms of how the new buildings essentially incorporated the old, existing structures. Plus, to be honest, it is...More

This castle offers the second best views of Naples and the bay (the views from the panoramic terrace at Via Felice Minucio are even better). You can see Naples old town (the view of the narrow Spaccanapoli street is especially memorable), the majestic Vesuvius and...More

Can't really make my mind up on this castle, as other reviewers have said you can get 360 views up here across the City & the Bay & it is worth the track up there just for that but I also was struck by the...More

I am glad we went for the views but the castle was expensive and there is not much there. Just a brief walk around was enough.

I'm not sure because it's a no working day in Italy, but I guess so. Opening hours from 8.30am to 7.30 pm but the ticket shop closes at 6.30.

CIAO, vorrei sapere se si riesce ad avere una bella vista di tutto il golfo senza entrare nel castello, cioè senza pagare il biglietto d'ingresso. grazie
