About
Located just across from Castello Nuovo, Molo Beverello is a ferry terminal in the heart of Naples. Other than being the docking area for cruise ships, the terminal is also where you can buy tickets a get the ferry to places like Sorrento and Capri. There are large screens at either end of the terminal where you can check out the day's schedule, before heading to the ticket windows to buy your tickets. The terminal can get busy—book your tickets online to ensure a smoother embarkation. You'll get to skip the lines, too. Ferries generally arrive and depart punctually, so always be early. – Tripadvisor

Dismal place that does a disservice to Napoli. Completely chaotic, no one is in charge and I would say you need your wits about you to ensure your travel plans don’t unravel. Be careful when getting a taxi here - you get in this structureless queue and it’s literally survival of the fittest. You should expect to pay 10-12 euros to get into the centre but it can be difficult to negotiate a reasonable fair when it’s busy

A tourist arriving from Milan, for whom the taxi driver has already raised the price because he is not from the area, the Molo Beverello presents itself as a unique chaos. Outside the ticket office there is nothing marked! From there ferries and hydrofoils depart for Capri, Procida, Ischia and perhaps another island. In August under the baking sun you can't find a place to go. Thousands of people waiting, if you ask a knowledgeable person, irritated, he tells you to read the letters above. A,B,C,D. But what do they correspond to? Another really unpleasant response. In the end we ask each other for information among the passengers who are more available and after waiting under the scorching sun, in one of the ports most used by tourists you ask yourself why. Why not give tourists, even foreigners like me, a suitable structure, places to shelter from the sun, a sense of welcome and respect for those who travel? I find the way tourists are treated at Molo Beverello shameful. Never again!

In order to pick up my daughter who was arriving from Procida I had to queue for an hour to enter the Beverello pier. Searching in vain for a place to wait for her...but who designed such an inaccessible place...chaos, inappropriate signs...but getting worse eh?? Never improve!!! What a shame

About to go to the Beverello pier to take a ferry to Ischia, I looked for information and came across the many negative reviews about the disorganization of the pier. I can only confirm: even just a sign with some indication of where to go would be enough, while it is totally absent. And there isn't even any staff capable of giving information. To find the ferry boarding point which is at Cala Porta Massa, we traveled for over 15 minutes with our luggage under the scorching sun without being sure we were going in the right direction, when a simple sign would have sufficed

We were going to/from Ischia in summer. Once you get to Molo Beverello, you’ll see the ticket windows directly opposite Castello Nuovo. On either end of the ticket building are large screens which show the schedule. Find which company you want, go to that company’s window, and ask for the next (“prossimo”) to Ischia. Each ticket window will also probably have a sign that says something like “Prossimo a Ischia 15:30”. Note that there are multiple ports on Ischia, so be sure you are going to the right one. “Ischia” is “Ischia Porto”. Once you have your tickets, it’s still hard to find the right dock/boat and there’s literally no one to ask. Go to the right/north behind the ticket building, by the water, where’s it’s roped off. There will be workers there who know where your boat will be. Waive your tickets at them and ask “Dove?” or “E qui?” and they will point you to the right waiting area. It’s about an hour on the boat to Ischia Porto. There are drinks and snacks for sale. Some boats have a small open deck (very windy; the boats go fast); others don’t. One crossing was a little bumpy, but not bad. Buying the return ticket in Ischia can be challenging. There’s a large Alilauro/Captain Morgan ticket office right at Ischia’s port (near but not right at the docks, southeast corner of the port), but note that there’s also a small Alilauro storefront ticket office on the street that runs along the south side of the port, and each might not sell the same tickets from day to day! Look at which boats they have posted; if your boat isn’t posted, you may need to go to the other office. The Medmar ferry ticket office is on the west side of the port.

Taxis in Rome nearly always follow the meter ( no need to tip ) but Naples taxis are a disgrace. Fare from station to the port should be about 11 Euros but our driver tried to tell me there was a fiesta and flat rate of 20 Euros plus 1 Euro per bag. I asked him to turn on the meter but he refused so I just went with it. On the way I went online , saw there were no fiestas and after he had unloaded the luggage took pictures of his taxi number and window sticker and threatened to call the police. After briefly protesting he said 15 Euros and drove off complaining. These guys are scum and will try to intimidate you en masse but take pictures and hold your ground.

We took the high-speed ferry (hydrofoil) to Capri from Molo Beverello. It’s located a short 5-10 min walk from where our cruise ship docked. We booked our tickets online ahead of time to avoid any delay and confusion. There is a service charge to do so, but we all felt better having a seat since we had a tour in Capri. There are multiple companies that run the routes, so pay attention to the signs (and to the boarding because no announcement was made). Our ferries were on time, and boarding/disembarking moved along smoothly. There’s not much around in regards to a comfortable wait (a few benches are nearby).

Beware, there are two ferry terminals in Naples that are ~10 mins apart (Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa). No employees are helpful at either location and there are confusing/contradicting signs everywhere. There are multiple companies that run services independent of each other and they will not notify you of the “next” ferry but rather THEIR next ferry. This means you need to check the schedule at each counter!

There was one helpful lady in the info booth but everyone else was extremely rude. I recommend leaving ample time for you to get over the confusion before your ferry leaves

It all works out in the end, but there is hardly any clear information once you leave the actual ticket office. No information boards so you can't be sure where your hydrofoil or ferry will dock...but this seems to be the way in the Bay of Naples. Other travellers are usually helpful, though nobody really knows what's going on. Eventually it becomes obvious that this must be the one to get on. If it's not you will be stopped by the boarding agent. Suggest leave plenty of time. To arrive in a hurry could be really frustrating.

We walked from our ship docked at Port of Marittima in Naples to Molo Beverello to catch the fast boat to the Isle of Capri. It was just a short walk from our ship but what we could find on the internet was unclear. Molo Beverello is located just in front of the Castle Nuovo making it very easy to find. There is a coffee shop just beside the port for coffee, snacks, and diet Cokes while you wait to board the hydrofoil to Capri.
