That's a promenade approximately 1 km long, with beautiful buildings (the Aquarium above all) and the sea on one side. I think there should be more care for this site. The statues are full of "graffiti". There are many dusty areas which should be turned into green spaces. If it is not improved, once you are there, you maybe would rather enjoy walking in the street, just close to the sea.
It's easy to reach by bus.

It just needs a lawn mower & a few dog pooh dust bins & this place would be a really spectacular park by the sea & encompassing some beautiful buildings.
Shame that they have not done anything. look at the stunning English Park in Palermo.
The Mayor needs to get his act together!

This park is located between piazzas Vittoria and della Repubblica and includes a number of structures and monuments; Anton Dohrn Zoological Station (the Aquarium), Monumento a Giambattista Vico, Monumento ad Armando Diaz, roller skating rink, tennis court, fountains and food outlets. It looks as if it has been forgotten by the City, dilapidated in places, rubbish strewn. A few people with young tots in the area.
It has the potential to be a spectacular area for both active and passive recreation use, the seaside alongside, great views along the coastline.

Thought this would be a great place to sit and eat my lunch mid travel, but no. A very run down and neglected piece of land. The potential is definitely there in such a beautiful place, but alas not at present

Yes the park is run down but people still seem to enjoy going there. There were children playing in the play park and people walking their dogs and also a few joggers. Altogether an enjoyable stroll through the park. In enjoyed looking at the statues although some of them are broken. The fountain, sadly, is not working but I could imagine what it would look like when it does.
Do walk through it, do enjoy the blossoms on the trees.

Spending a day sightseeing in Chiaia district and after great visits to the Fondazione Plart and the Villa Pignatelli, thought this would be an ok place to eat my lunch before heading up to the Palazzo delle Arti (PAN) . Wrong.
The gardens are neglected and seem to be refuge for quite a few homeless people. There was an older woman washing her clothes under one of the drinking fountains amid her few bags of belongings. I ate one sandwich and gave her the rest of my lunch on the way out. This was the only time in two weeks that I felt a tad uncomfortable in Naples. Maybe there's a different atmosphere at weekends when more families are about.

Reduced to a sad avenue with only benches at the sides, green completely absent, badly treated, dirty, ugly and sad.

I hadn't been there for years and what I found was complete abandonment. Unkempt grass, non-existent gardens (there isn't a flower!), works of art in decay and bins, the big ones with rubbish everywhere, it looked like a landfill site, so many bins were present, a real eyesore.
