Italians are either conscience of the environment or too cheap to air condition public facilities. The National Museum was interesting as it contained statues and frescoes from the ancient cities that were buried by Mt Vesuvius. But it was very hot in the building which...More

This museum was not crowded when we visited on a Sunday in July. It was very hot inside though. Beautiful paintings throughout, but parts of it were closed so we did not get to see everything. Because there was no crowd, we were able to...More

Very badly laid out. Most of the temporary exhibitions were not available ! Caravaggio and Picasso were gone back to their original locations . Will not go back again. The gardens were nice .

We went there on July 17th but more than half of the museum is closed. They don't tell you and you have to pay the full price. Could be interesting but we just saw some unimportant pieces of the collection.

We visited as part of the hop on/hop off bus. Well worth the time and some fantastic artwork here. The royal apartment is amazing. Look for the Van Dyke, it's amazing.

Anyone who appreciates antique art will have an amazing experience at this place: Greek and Roman sculptures do highlight the spot.

The entry price was a bit steep for such a limited art collection. We were not really impressed. Just to see one Caravaggio and a handful of other paintings was not worth a while.

Returning after forty years to renew my pilgrimage, which had led me to Capodimonte back then to see the two paintings by Breughel, The Misanthrope & the Blind Leading the Blind. They were not a disappointment, but how could I have forgotten Titian's Danae? Then...More

At the moment the park actually has a cafe called "Bar Museo", however I do not feel linke suggesting it. That's mainly because there are a lot of cafes nearby which, like the "Gran Caffé Varriale", offer better money for... More
