Visiting Pompeii is a must, but little of the best art still exists there. It has been removed and most of it now is now exhibited at this Naples museum. My wife is an artist and has constructed several mosaics. She was speechless (that's saying...More

I was excited to come here to see some of the artifacts from Pompeii. I was disappointed not to see a single cast. The "Secret Room" has sexually-related artifacts. There was not clear signage about this and we unknowingly wandered into this exhibit with our...More

We visited the day before going to Ercolano, then Pompeii. I’m undecided about which it’s best to do first. However it’s a must-do companion to the ruins. I only took off a point because so many things have descriptions only in Italian.

Queued for an hour in the rain but hey ho! Believe they could have a slightly better system for taking the admission charge - getting through that final stage didn't help the queue. Anyway once in it was really fascinating. I agree with other reviewers...More

This place is easily accessible by L1 subway (Museo stop) from the Naples Train Station (1.1e fare). It contains some impressive giant Roman sculptures, but more impressively mosaics, frescos and artifacts (all in excellent shape and in abundance) from both Pompei and Herculaneum. Don’t miss...More

Not sure if it would be a good idea for kids to listen to the audio guide. But what you can do is to listen to the audio guide yourself and then tell the kids about it on your own. Otherwise after 5 minutes they're gonna get... More
