Beautiful Catholic church

We attended mass and communion on Pentacoste- very nice service with families and the children dressed in their finest. A nice choir

That is the church we couldn't miss when we were in the Umberto I Square in Capri town. Santo Stefano is a Catholic church and former cathedral and represents the major house of worship in the town of Capri. It is dedicated to Saint Stephen and the only remaining parts of the cathedral are the clock tower and the archbishop's... More

A great place to pop in and escape the madding crowd of Piazzetta. Its cool and plenty of seats among the beautiful Rococo architecture, not mention time for quiet prayer. Its not exclusively for Catholics although it is a Catholic Church. Mass times are hard to find on the net but they are 19:00 during the week and 10:30, 12:00... More

Quite plain compared to a lot of italian churches. The steps are an extremely popular place for groups to meet, therefore it's difficult to get in and photograph.

After going from the island's jetty the funicular train takes you up to "Umberto Piazza" where you immediately face this church. It is very light and pleasant internally and worth a short visit.

A serene place to walk around and also sit and say a prayer for loved ones you have lost. A nice place to light a candle as well.

We attended this church for Mass on Sunday, and it was packed! A nice elderly lady moved over as we could not find a place to sit. This was a special service for children, and we were impressed how the priest called upon different ones for answers and comments. He was so kind to the children. We toured afterwards, and... More

This church is a quiet haven in the chaos of Capri, cool and restfull. It is worthwhile to visit when you have had enough of the sightseeing.
