A lovely place to start acclimatising to Capri and get a feel for the place. Glad we went in April however. I suspect that in high summer the endless sightseeing groups traipsing all over teh place must become unbearable

We came here to walk around, shop, have a meal and enjoy the shops. It wasn’t crowded and it just was a pleasure. I highly recommend coming here. Don’t forget to try the gelato

What a lovely, ancient square, surrounded by bars and cafes offering a great service, but at a price. I'm not complaining as I expected this sort of pricing, but the unwary could get a shock at €10 for a fruit juice, €9 for 3 scoops...More

From this square you can start exploring Capri or shops and restaurants. Beautiful streets and beautiful shops with interesting exhibitions. With that smell of coffee and pastry encourages you to sit and relax with coffee and delicious ice cream.

The Piazza Umberto (sometimes referred to as the Piazzetta) is on the east end of the island above Marina Grande. The square may be small, but you won’t have any trouble finding it. Just look for Torre dell'Orologi, the clock tower that anchors the piazza....More

The Piazza Umberto I is the main piazza on the Island of Capri. It is a busy hustle and bustle area with shops, restaurants and street vendors.

Same as previous answer, its a busy tourist spot, so can't see the shops and tours being closed. Its their main income.
