On the advice of our B & B we booked on the sightseeing bus from Sorrento to Positano, then got the boat to Amalfi, and then the bus back from there to Sorrento. We were advised to sit on the RHS to see the best...More

We drove along this gorgeous road with a professional driver, and I can't imagine that anyone who is not experienced driving these winding, up and down roads could do it. While the views are spectacular, I wouldn't bother getting out of the car for any...More

I wouldn't drive it again. It may be beautiful coast but I'd say better seen from the water. I found the drive stressful and unpleasant & it was out of season. The roads are narrow and the roads bend and wind at every possible opportunity.

The Coast Road is said to be one of the World’s Top Twenty routes and having travelled along it today, we could see why. The views are spectacular and as you wend your way along the side of the hills and mountain cuttings, often with...More

The drive along the Amalfi coast is one of the most stunning you can experience. Winding roads to zoom up and down the coast, if you are lucky, if not you can chug along in traffic and take in those views. Sorrento, Amalfi, Piazzetta, Minori,...More

We had this experience as part of our week's tour of this part of Italy. However I cannot understand how our coach driver sleeps at night if he has to do this run several times a week. Our 42 seater was a decent size and...More

We elected to drive ourselves as time didn't permit us to take a tour. But i'm not sure that that would have made much difference. We were not scared for ourselves, but the people who were overtaking on blind bends and squeezing through impossibly small...More

I can proudly say I've driven the whole Europe. It has many scenic and wonderful places to drive, but above Austria's and Swiss' scenic mountain and lakes drives, Norwegian fjords or South France's Cote d'Azur, this one stands atop of them all. This around 50...More

We caught the SITA bus from outside the train station. A day ticket is the best option if you intend to get on off and on and costs 8 euros. Sit on the right hand side (facing the driver) on the way there and the...More

We went on this road with a driver to get to atrani which was not bad because he knew what he was doing. I felt safe in the car but we were behind someone that obviously rented a car because he was driving extremely slow...More

Our car was $37 a day plus we spent about $60 on gas. It's a good drive.

Driving is ok but it is very twisty and with coaches and cars parked it can be challenging. We used a driver as it wasn't too expensive and he knew where to take us for the views etc

Hi - That is a lot of driving but certainly you could accomplish all you want to see along the Amalfi Coast in two days before heading back up north. That should give you enough time to do all the other things you... More
