Each one of the stone-hewn churches is unique and well-worth the visit. The variety of spaces and the fascinating "shelves" in San Pietro Barisano offered their own new emotions. I suggest also arriving at this church from "above" where you can practically touch the top...More

We're not allowed to enter. When we asked why, they asked if we had made reservation. We saw nowhere this place needed reservation.

Go and visit this church a little further away on the stairs, get ready for a fairly big walk if you are touring in one day, but it is really worth the trip
