The town El palmar is nothing special nor beautiful itself. There are a lot of restaurants which were all empty in the beggining of march. It is easily accesible by bus (only 1,5€ - takes about 50 mins). The boat trip on the lake is nice. All in all I recommend this trip if you have an extra day in... More

Experienced and responsible guide, and a great water tour on a comfortable, old style looking boat with outboard motor. We had a great opportunity to see a lot of birds including an aguila descalzada and scads of cormoranes and garza imperiales. Well worth the visit, and the weather was gorgeous! Plus it's right next to a restaurant that does the... More

We visited the Parque Natural last Saturday. We drove around using the narrow and twisting lanes, seeing diverse wildlife on our travels. We stopped at El Palmar and ate eel and paella Valencian at El Rek and then took a traditional boat trip (4Euros per person) around the lake. It was a wonderful experience and so unspoiled and peaceful. I... More

Lagoon situated about 15km from Valencia. Its is a nice place for walk and resting. Next to it is El Palmar with a lot of local restaurants for paella.

A really must-see place around Valencia city, where you can enjoy with take-breathing views from this particular natural park. In El Palmar village you can eat a fantastic rice and later enjoy with a amazing route in boat.

I rented a bike and it took me 1.5 hours to get there. It was an easy ride but had to ride with cars sometimes... Views were nice though!

If you fancy a change of scene from city life, take the No 25 bus from Valencia & visit the lake of Albufera. It takes about 35 minutes to get there (fare is €3 return) & you are in a different world, one of rice fields, the lake, birds flying high, canals & lots of local restaurants serving rice and... You can go for a boat trip inside the delta, but after I saw the Danube Delta in Romania, Albufera is a small kid in comparison. Notice that the boatman was very nice and helpful all the time.

Breath-taking nature with beautiful wild birds and smooth wind. Take a easy hike around the town and appreciate the massive rice fields, then enjoy a real local rice dish in the many many restaurants.
