This is a hive of activity. Pleasantly arranged and with sports activities, markets and exhibitions throughout the year. You can take a stroll, run, bike, pasea along any section of the c.8km old river bed, it's safe and very pleasant and offers good shade from the midday sun!

Went for a run at night and it was fabulous. A stretch of almost 8 km., mostly flat, without traffic noise and among trees and shrubs. Loads of sports facilities along the way, exercising points, benches and lawn to have picnics on, low-key restaurants full of families, children playgrounds, a lake complete with ducks and fish, etc. Great for any... A compliment one has to make to Valencia is that it got many things in urbanism right. The best example is the old riverbed of the Rio Turia, which has ben converted into a great recreational zone with football fields, playgrounds and jogging lanes. It is a huge park leading from the edged of the old town down to the... More

The Cauce del rio Turia is the old river bed. The Turia River was diverted to bypass the city of Valencia many years ago because it had caused flooding in the city many times before. Today it is really a very large park where one can walk and exercise. Plenty of flower beds, trees and shrubs make it a wonderful... More

Great for a long walk, or even better, hire a bike. Don't forget to visit Ciutat de les Arts i Les Ciences and L'Oceanografic. What a beautiful modern architecture.

Amazing place... around 10km garden in the old river bed of "Rio Turia"... you can walk around, do sports, go with bicycle, do a picnic... or just be amazed by stunning Valencia from the river paths and discover the city in another way
