This museum surprised me in a good way - it was very interactive for a History Museum. All the important historical sections have interactive video scenarios which you can play and, in the end, you get to see an overview of Valencia's history using a...More

Some history museums have too much information without a clear story-line. But this museum of the city of Valencia knows how to tell the essentials of a historical development in a comprehensive and attractive way. The combination of informative texts, significant objects presented in display...More

Housed in a former water-reservoir (look et the vaulted brick columns and ceiling repeating itself) this excellent museum seems to have been sited at the wrong end of town, although it is a nice walk down the Turia gardens from the city center. It gives...More

A hidden gem that relates the story of Valencia. Good fun, plan the visit with time because you might want to stay there to watch all the historic video clips.

Museum for history lovers with very good overview of Valencian history. Franco regime is also mentioned which is good. Exhibits are impressive and fascinating. Fact that museum shop was closed, is negative fact, but i strongly recommend it for visiting.

As others have commented, this a bit light on recent developments, but is interesting nevertheless. We particularly liked the old newsreels. Because of the lighting and the way some of the explanatory texts are displayed, it is sometimes hard to read them. An English summary...More
