this is on the main route for the running of the bulls, I copped a picture of the pharmacy and enjoyed the sidewalk cafes and bars.

While we did not visit during the festival we found the route online and walked it from start to finish about 800 meters. This is the famous curve that the bulls take for the second half of the run. Look online and you can get a map of the run and walk it. We imagined we were here in early July even though we were not.

Curva de Estafeta is part of the street that is famous for the running of the bulls. This section is particularly famous. I think this is the starting point where bulls are let loose. I would not get in their way! Unfortunately none of this happened when we were there, as it was the "wrong time" of the year for this event! The street itself is not particularly big, but is narrow, being in the historic old part of the city. There are large numbers of shops in this street. There are cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, fruit shops, bread shops, tourist shops, fashion shops, and lots of other shops. It's a good street to go for a walk and a relaxing time.

we took a tour of the city and walked the streets where the running of the bulls take place. we missed it by 9 days and they were still getting the city back together. it was fun learning about the traditions and lunacy that goes on before, during and after the running.

A walk around will help you learn more about the city, its culture and its people. Especially in the night with lights it looks amazing. Do not miss this walk...

I walked from the Corrales de Santo Domingo (place where the bulls set off from at the 8am firecracker) up along Santo Domingo past the town hall and round Curva de Estafeta into Estafeta (with its bars and tourist shops) up to the bullring - it is no distance at all andat St.Fermin the running of the bulls is over in a flash. Atmospheric walk without the bulls jabbing up your pass. Not so exciting without the bulls - needs your imagination.

This is the street where the running of the bulls happens. This is where in the Festival of San Fermin, bulls are let loose in this street and people running with them, avoiding their sharp horns and injury. There are lots of stores and restaurants. 4 stars
