We booked for the show and dinner at Las Carboneras. They have a friendly and helpful staff and we arrived early and were given a good table near the stage. It is an awkward venue for an audience, with most of the seating at the sides of the stage. So best to get there early for the show or the... More

This was a wonderful show defining the exciting art of Flamenco rhythm in dance and music. Make sure you Book in advance as there are only a few places. We booked dinner and were placed at a table for 3 just inches from the stage. You have a choice of meals when you book. The meal had large portions ,... More

I really wanted to see a Flamenco show and was not disappointed! We went on Rick Steves' advice and had the special meal, giving us showside seats, best in the house. The performers are all in tune with each other and gave it their all. I was so impressed! My husband wasn't so sure but he loved it, too! An... More

4 of us booked the dinner and a show after a day at the museums. This was the wrap up of a day of Madrid culture. Dinner was a number of appetizers (olives, cheeses, jamon and some other items) which about filled us up and then paella and dessert along with 2 bottles of wine. My daughter is a vegetarian... This was our first experience of Flamenco dancing and it was beyond our expectations. The dancers, singers and guitarist were all very talented. Thoroughly enjoyed it would recommend to all if you haven't experienced this before. The room was smaller than i anticipated but this added to the atmosphere and meant our table was close to the stage. We went... More

What to say about a flamenco show? It is everything you expected and more. The live music was very good the singing was breathtaking, and the dancing was incredible. I think that after looking up the history of flamenco I had a deeper appreciation for the artistry that was performed in front of us. The show itself lasts about an... More

Visiting Madrid and thinking where to see a flamenco show? Go to Las Carboneras! We book a show together with a tapas tour. It was a perfect combination. It was a very simple show, but full of emotions, dance and great voices. Must to see in Spain!

Having searched various reviews for flamenco in Madrid it appeared that this venue would be less touristy. Exactly has expected. We booked the show with dinner at €67. 50 which may seem a little expensive but compared to some venues (over €100) was reasonable. This included all your drinks during dinner and enormous portions. Go with a good appetite as... More

Go now, seriously go now in February. We booked today. 40 euros for Valentine's menu. Unbelievable. We had a three course meal and a bottle of wine each plus a mesmerising show. Everything was tiptop. Thank you Marcia for booking us, serving us and taking photos. Legend.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
