Just next to Retiro park.. busy road all around but this monument is a peaceful respite.
Definitely one of the sights to see in Madrid. There's a bench to sit on with the monument in the background for memorable pictures.
An imposing monument with 2 distinctly different sides and both are worth seeing. Traffic is very heavy so be careful - we saw two people taking selfies on the pedestrian crossing which irritated several drivers.
