I've been traveling to Madrid for years. Several trips ago when visiting Plaza Mayor, I discovered the charming shop El Arco Artesania, and have been stopping by ever since. Located in a corner of Plaza Mayor, Plaza Mayor 9 de Madrid, each time I visit I leave with the most beautiful Spanish crafts and jewelry, reasonably priced and perfect for gifts - both for me and for family and friends. Especially sweet are the lovely gals who are eager to help me choose among an array of beautiful, diverse, colorful and affordable artifacts for people of all ages. We echo the comments of others. This is a great little store conveniently located on the Plaza Mayor. They offer a very nice range of locally made crafts of all types. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they are able to ship goods to other countries if you find something too bulky or heavy to carry with you. If you are looking for crafts this place is definitely worth a visit.…

If you are looking for presents or something to remind yourself of Spain this is a great place to shop. Beautiful ceramics, glass and lots more. And if you are buying a present the wrapping is great. Very hard to choose as so many nice things. From tiny to quite large there is something for everyone. It's more like a gallery than a shop and the staff are very helpful but do not pressure customers in any way. You are given as much time as you like to choose. I think I will be going back before we leave.…
