This place is awesome. Basically you order a drink and they offer you a plate of tapas on the house. Buy two drink and you get two plates, etc. The food is traditional Spanish tapas. The people are friendly. It is frequent visited by the...More
Just off a popular plaza and probably better when it isn´t a spring sunshiney day outside but, nonetheless, a window on the past with no frills tapas in abundance and appropriate prices for the alcohol. Not so good for families as it is a stand...More
This place is ideal if you want a few drinks and are starving. With each drink you buy, you are given a huge plate of food. Although not the best quality and at times a little cold, it is fantastic value !
One of my favorite places in Madrid. In a week trip we went there three times! Super cheap and generous portions. Don’t order a ración, just order drinks and the food will flow in. Excellent establishment! [Picture one is two drinks, picture two is three...More
Sidreria El Tigre ( Tapas Caseras ) was one of the best and most authentic Madrid tapas bars we visited on our weeks holiday to this most vibrant of cities.

Authentic Spanish eating experience is a guarantee at this local eatery. It was very busy, rustic and lively. We had wine and tapas style eating at a price that is hard to beat. Very potato based ( every plate seemed to come with them) but...More
Must to visit place. It's really local spanish bar that offers tapas when you're ordering drinks. For 5 euros you can get two beers/sangrias/cola etc. and plate full of snacks. Best deal. Also, it has this spanish free spirit which makes this place even more...More
The hostel had indicated the place and it was an amazing surprise. For 2 ou 3 Euros you can get a beer and a full plate of tapas (potatos, ham, etc), and the servers are nice and friendly. I'd back to the place in the...More
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
