One of the most beautiful bridges in this most beautiful of city's is Puente De Toledo .
Puente De Toledo ( The Bridge Of Toledo ) spans the River Manzanares, it was constructed between 1718-1732 from designs from architect Pedro De Ribera ,its listed as Bien De Interes Cultural such is its historical important, its built in the Baroque style of architecture that is so pleasing on the eye and starts at Pyramids Roundabouts and brings you over to Marques De Vadillo Square .
We were exploring around this area of the city namely the Carabanchel neighbourhood and crossed this bridge ,the great views of the park area's are stunning ,its just a really good bridge to check out if you're in the area or planning a holiday to Madrid.

Cute bridge with touch of character. Located next to busy areas but also a park with walking paths with benches. You can extend your stroll to the adjacent park below.

This used to be the old route into Madrid from the south and the route from Toledo in particular. However it was largely replaced as a road bridge in the 1970’s when the M-30 road development took place, and after successive redevelopments of this section of the river it is now a very picturesque pedestrian bridge over the Manzanares River.
Originally built in the Baroque style between 1719 and 1724, it includes nine half-point spans with granite ashlars and the two pavilion-shaped structures on both sides of the central arch house the sculptures of San Isidro and Santa María de la Cabeza.
I wouldn’t say it’s so spectacular to warrant a special trip out of the centre of Madrid to see it, but if you are doing the riverside walk to or from the Parque Madrid Rio it’s certainly worth taking the time to stroll back and forth across this one to take a closer look.

Amazing structure amongst modern city. In the distance a very contemporary bridge and gardens in between. Obviously the bridge is showing it’s age but it’s still magnificent to walk on and wondering who’s footsteps am I following?

This bridge is located on calle Toledo on the old way from Madrid to Toledo. It is on the river Manzanares. It gives you great views and a nice area to walk around as they have now made good walking area full of trees and lawns next to the river.

I am lucky enough to live just 15 minutes walking north of this elegant, rustic, Romanesque bridge. A bridge, with its surrounding park on the river, I would never have visited if it weren't for happening upon it during an afternoon walk.
Wow- I know I said to my friend. And she agreed, being an architect, she could verify its novelty and quality.
So, now I enjoy a nice evening, or morning, stroll along the top of this mostly well preserved bridge, some places obviously renovated which is fine. And a meandering through gardens and trees underneath.
This bridge and its area are the whole package. If you have time, I highly recommend it.

The bridge has survived over the centuries. It is now pedestrianized and leads to Madrid's Rio Park. It looks very good and has nice views of Madrid and the park itself

Old bridge that has survived and has been thoughtfully integrated into the river park. Couple of shrine-memorials midway across

As we were completing our walking tour of Toledo, we walked on the bridge to get to our waiting tour bus. There were lookout points on the bridge which allowed for excellent views of the shallow river below and the mountains in the distance. The bridge itself is quite a sight.
