This theater is kind of old and small but close to the scenary and nice. Be careful!! If you're going to see some show full of people dancing at the same time on the stage... maybe it's not worthy going here... I went to see the show "Swan Lake" but we didn't enjoy it too much because they were too... More

A beautiful theatre located on the Gran Via. We went to see Cabaret, which was a wonderful show. The performances were fantastic. From the MC to all the actors and actresses whose voices and dances made the show memorable. Highly recommend it.

The theater is awesome, the actors were great, the music (live band) was super, the customs - all except the story line which was messed up - it was about WWII, Hitler and Nazis - I'm a grandchild of a Holocaust survivor and it seems to me that the show was not respectful enough to the subject, specially the ending... An excellent production of Carmen combining flamenco, ballet and opera. Company of around 20 dancers with 4 excellent musicians, also using recorded music from the opera. A total treat at a good price of around 22 euros, not to be missed.

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
