Very nice statue of the symbol of the city, the bear. People make a line to get photos there. It is located in a big square and the best time to visit is in the evening around sunset.

A very nice and iconic statue. It was smaller than I expected however that just made it more cute. Definitely some to see if you’re nearby.

One of the most famous statue's in Madrid is located on Puerto Del Sol,the most popular square in this most beautiful of city's.
El Oso Y El Manrono ( The Bear & The Strawberry ) is a great looking statue, depicting a bear with the aforementioned fruit, not only is it lovely to view ,its a perfect selfie magnet but its also the emblem of the city of Madrid, its easy to locate on Plaza De La Puerta Del Sol and well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Much smaller than I thought! Many people around, a bit of chaos due the renovations in the plaza, but isa must visit, and the best, is in front of La Mallorquina (you can't leave town without taste their hot chocolate!)

This emblematic statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree is a sculpture by Antonio Navarro Santafe. It represents the heraldic arms of the town.

The sculpture was revealed in 1967 on the eastern side of Puerta del Sol.

The statue is made of stone and bronze. It weighs approximately 20 tons and is 4 m tall.

It is one of the most popular selfie spots in Madrid.

Easy to find, easy to miss on a busy day. This sculpture is at one long end of Puerta de Sol. I have been to Sol many times, but depending on the crowds of tourists and locals present, and other entertaining distractions, it hasn't been every time I look up at this Oso. If you are visit Sol only once, or your first time, try not to miss it.

Nice statue, though not as large in person as I assumed it would be, especially as it’s already on a plinth.
Be prepared for crowds around it as everyone wants their photo taken here.
