Before I travel to any new country/international city, I research the local Basilicas and Cathedrals. This one was an unexpected treasure. Unlike many churches characterized by ornate decor and artisanship, the Ingesia de San Anton is unassumed in many respects. The stand outs are not...More

24 hours open, free wi-fi, free coffee and food for all the homeless and even for pets. I am very impressed with this beautiful social service. For me, this is a real church, real love for people.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where

people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
