It's the only romantic garden at Madrid that bellong to Duchess Lady María Josefa de la Soledad Alonso Pimentel (the park has conceived in 1784) wanted to have a place for artists and intellectuals to gain inspiration from beautiful gardens. Nowadays it's open to the public with some minor restrictions in the number of people that can be there.

It was a lovely walk. Go there around 12 so that the fountains would be turned on, it´s much more beautiful. They also have picnic areas, so if you want you can bring a packed lunch and spend the whole day there. They also have an area for kids. So.. fun for the whole family..

Wasn't anything special and is not near of the downtown. They don't allow any food so forget about having a picnic there

A grand square near to the centre of Madris filled with restaurants good fro al fresco dining although a little more expensive as a tourist hot spot. Regular events held here if you are lucky.

Visited this very beautiful park 2 days ago. Its totally worth the trip from madrid city center (takes around 30 to 35 minutes to get there using the metro to el caprichio station). You can only bring in water and can stroll the park only by foot.

It's a private park that's not always open. Personally, it's the perfect place to take beautiful photos, because it has a lot of green places, beautiful trees, a river, an old house,... (Not food allowed)

Open only on weekends, from 9am to 9pm, it is a bit far from the center(near the airport) but totally worth the travel. You have a metro line that stops 10 minutes from the park and the entrance is free. There are also free tours in the morning! A beautiful way to spend your Sunday surrounded by the nature.

A private park with limited hours of opening to the public, we visited here one evening with friends who live nearby. The park is quite a surprise and a welcome green space offering some good shade on a hot day. The 'follies' in the park are varied there is a good variety of garden spaces. Well worth a visit.
