We asked a police officer where the memorial was located at the bus station and he directed us to it. It is not in an obvious location. The lighted circle above me has, etched into the glass many of the notes left at the station...More

Atocha Bombing Memorial is a fitting commemoration to those who died in the bomb attack at the station. It's situated in a round glass building near the main entrance to the station.

We walked all around the station looking for the memorial without luck. We went back to our hotel and asked the reception staff for information. They looked it up on line and we went back to the station to find it. It is difficult to...More

Would have liked to see inside the memorial but although it was difficult to find & when we did it said it would be open 11:00-14:00 waited until well after 11:00 but it never opened. Looked though the glass window & it looked a sad...More

This city that has seen so much violence, was the victim of a 21st century terrorist attack. This 30 ft round column memorializes the innocent victims in fitting, if tragic, tribute.

A simple auditorium with minimal lighting that enters through an 11 meter high cylynder. The auditorium can accommodare up to 200 people but is usually quiet and somber making it an appropriate way to pay ones respects or just to take a moment to remember...More
