What to say about this park? First, it is gigantic and all the places are beautiful. If you are into calmly walking in parks, like to people watch, are looking for a place to throw a picnic, this is one great spot in Madrid.

I really recommend spending some time exploring this lovely city park with so much to see and admire. Lots of little places to eat and drink, a boating lake and fabulous statues to admire.

This was the first place we visited in the city and we probably enjoyed it the most in a city which we loved. It was a warm, sunny October afternoon and that helped. Make sure you see the Crystal Palace. Stunning.

Convenient from metro and buses that run past the park, book stalls run along one side, close to the botanical gardens, plenty of walks and great views, nice lake, all really good and only a couple of minutes to good bars and restaurants

Fabulous park with space space space. Lots of benches and grass to sit on. So very very clean. Rose garden a must see. Unlike Paris or London all the fountains and water features were working and add to the restful atmosphere.

The park is beautifully manicured and littered with chestnut and olive trees. So many benches to sit and enjoy the passersby. There are food vendors, cafes, and restrooms available. It was one of my favorite parts of our trip to Spain. I would return in...More

It doesn’t seem very deep and it looks very safe. More of a big pond than a lake, I think. Hope this helps! 😊

Much of the park has walkways, trees, monuments and water features. There are a few small grass patches that are open with no trees however I do not remember seeing any wide open grass areas that you could throw a Frisbee... More
