This is a small plaza and a monument in the middle. The monument is dedicated to unknown soldiers from the war. Rather plain and simple monument.

We walked past this plaza on our way to the Prado Museum. Nothing exceptional, except the Monumento a los Caidos por Espana, or the Spanish Tomb of the unknown Soldier which is in the middle, surrounded by a steel fence, for some reason. It does not seem to be a very inviting plaza, but may be it grows on you!

We were walking back towards our hotel after visiting the Naval Museum and literally stumbled on this plaza. It is compact, partly fenced, a monument at its centre, and the Madrid Stock Exchange and Ritz Hotel adjacent. Worth viewing if in the area.
