At one of the entrances to the Prado museum is this statue of Velazquez. Rather apt as you will see many of the artist works inside the museum.

Very nice statue of Diego de Velazquez sitting by a side entrance (probably the original main entrance) to the Prado Muesum. A nice statue and worth a stop if you're in the area.

This is a lovely piece of art that is a great introduction to the delights inside the museum. It is worth taking some time to explore the garden area around the Prado before going inside.
