If you want to know about the La Rioja wines, this is a must be. We had a great visit with Diego, who was very knowledgeable and made this visit very interesting. He answered all of our questions and gave insight in this winery. After the visit, we had a wine tasting, which showcased three red wines and one white.... More

We had a short stay in Logroño and paid a visit to this Bodega. The Bodega is placed in a beautiful location within the city, easily accessible. The guide was friendly and explained the history very well. The final wine tasting was also nice. and try the Diamond white wine!

We visited this winery/bodega last week during our visit to Logrono. Our guide spoke English well and provided us with a good history of the winery. The tour also included samples of three wines along with a couple of plates of local meats. I would recommend a visit to Bodegas Franco Espanolas while if Logrono, especially if you are without... We visited the Bodegas in January with a small group. The tour is 12 euro per person and that includes tasting two wines with some sausage and a tour through the winery. Our tour guide spoke very good English end we liked the old winery with it's great history. The wines were of good quality, but we missed the personal... More

Visited this bodega after a nice walk in the local park. The wine is very smooth but not very bold or interesting. I had much better wines in the area but it doesn't hurt to sample a few locally.

Nice place to visit, mostly because you can go by walking. Wines are not the best in the zone, but the tour is pleasant and the place in itself is nice and cosy.

My husband and I went on a tour of Bodegas Franco Espanoles in August, we had a make tour guide who was engaging and funny. Really nice winery we learned how to properly hold a wine glass and that the wine was confiscated for soldiers during the war. We had a tasting at the end of the tour which was... More

Advance communication with the winery was excellent, in its friendliness and professionalism (unlike the Marques de Murrieta who ignored our booking request) and we were placed on an English tour. The experience was informative and entertaining and it was great to explore a smaller, family run Bodega (in contrast to the impressive industrial scale of the nearby Campo Viejo). What... More

The winery was convenient and within walking distance from our hotel. We arrived with little prior arrangement and were able to have an English speaking guide. The facility is old and charming. The guide was knowledgeable and quite attentive. The tasting was well done.
